anyone use lancets or syringes more than once? i haven' so far, but this is an expensive habit and thinking i can
reuse them to save. Thoughts?

Insulin syringes should never be used more than once. The needle gets dull after one use. Reusing it again may introduce contaminates into the sterile insulin bottle or pain and may cause discomfort to the cat.

Lancets are pretty cheap so it's not worth reusing them over and over again. As with the insulin syringes, the needle gets dull after one use.

fwiw, i use one lancet per day per cat. but yeah, i'd never reuse a syringe. that darn lantus is too expensive to risk contaminating it

Do you mean you use the same lancet more than once during a given day?

yep, i use the same one in the evening on Mousie as I used in the morning on her. then i toss it. same thing with foster kitty on most days.

i don't really curve Mousie anymore but when I do the foster kitty I might change the lancet a couple times that day in his lancing device
