I have a kitty who has been diagnosed about 2 months ago. Started out with one unit, now down to 1/2 or 1/4 unit. We use a sliding scale. If she is under 250, 1/2 unit brings her too low ( like around 60-80) so we use 1/4 unit.

Now her morning bg reading this morning was 141. I am scared to give her even a quarter... she has never been this low on her own and she has bottomed out 4 times since we started this. At 160, 1/4 unit brought her down to 80.

She is on ProZinc. Is it possible she is starting remission? My vet I trusted just moved over 100 miles away. I will try to get a hold of her today. Don' know if I should dose. Let me know your thoughts.

Did you shoot? Without more data, I’d say skip. If you can set up a spreadsheet that will give us the info to better help you. Also, let us know what meter you’re using. Come over to the prozinc forum and post.

I agree with Sharon. Based on just the data you just provided in your post, I would skip. It will give you a chance to see what her BG level does on it's own.
