Requesting feedback on numbers

I would appreciate some feedback on Orion's numbers. He's much more consistent in the AM than PM. I'm not sure if he needs any change in dose or what might be causing the goofy PM numbers?

Please do not get on my case about lack of data. I am dealing with my own health issues and am doing the best I can to take care of myself, Orion, and my 16 year old with kidney disease. If you can't offer me help because of lack of data then there is no need to reply.

I suspect that he is bouncing with his weird pattern because of dosage inconsistency.

It's causing him to bounce up to pink in response to his greens. That shows that the dosage is probably bringing him down into greens when it can. The skips cause him to go back up.

It would be great if we could figure out what dose you could give consistently ...
lantus works best with consistency but the dose is determined by how low he goes in the cycle. And we don't really know that.
His rhythm is even off which is why you are seeing green at preshot.

My only suggestion is perhaps you should change to the go slow method where he can earn a dose increase with below 90.

I understand medical conditions being a hindrance.
You just have to do the best you can. It looks like occasionally you do manage to pm cycle test .

I think where you've seen red occasionally is likely because he had a very low green.
We don't want that. Hypos are bad news.

It looks like you've reduced to 1.75 before but you just aren't catching those lows.
He's gone under 90 a few times so I think I would try to get more tests in when you see those blues, he likely keeps going down.

The truth is some of those zeros should be 2s but I'm tired of the receptionist at the vet's office getting on my case about shooting below 180. Perhaps I need to keep 2 spreadsheets.

I know that some vet's are overly cautious. I would agree with rhiannon, I would recommend that you do the SLGS. It does look like you are getting active cycles with the dose that you are on based on the PMPS numbers. Orion is probably bouncing from the 59 on 7/21 . If you decide to do SLGS I would reduce the dose by .25.

I know there is a lot on your plate, is there an opportunity for you to do a curve or maybe a couple more BG during one day? My feeling is that he may benefit from a dose decrease.

:bighug: for doing the best you can, it's not easy :bighug:

I can probably get +9 most weekdays when I get home from work. I tried to do a curve yesterday but missed getting a number in the second half of his cycle.
