What’s everyone’s favorite meter? I’ve seen recommendations for the ReliOn but I prefer not to shop at Walmart when avoidable. I have been using the AlphaTrak2 for years but it has been discontinued so I figured it was a good opportunity to find something with better prices. I am very comfortable using the AlphaTrak so I’d love to use something similar, maybe even with the same style/look test strips. Any advice, pro or con, would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you! Which ReliOn do most people use? There seem to be dozens of options - the Classic, Blu, Prime, Premium, Compact, etc.

I can’t believe the price difference - it seems there are ones that cost $200/year or $2k/year, with little in between. It’s wild!

I'd suggest changing your subject line to something like, "Which Relion?" I didn't use the Relion meter so I'm of no help. You could also do a search on this forum but I suspect you'll get way too many responses to sort through.

The Prime series of meters have been discontinued but you an still buy stripos for them. Cost of strips is still $9 for 50 strips for either the old Prime and present Premier series of meters. Which Premier meter depends upon what feature you want. The Classic is midsize while the Compact is smaller. Actuality the cost of the Classic and Compact are essentially the same since the Compact includes 50 strips while the Classic does not include any strips. The Blu supports downloading BGs to your phone. The Voice speaks the BG value to you. I have a Prime Classic which came with Merle when I adopted him. I bought a Premier Compact and Blu for my other two cats. The one feature of the Compact is that it only stores the last 5 BGs while and Classic stores 300 or so values. If you want a small one the Compact is the way to go. The Blu is a little bigger than the Classic. You listed "Premium", did you mean "Premier".
