replacement for alpha track 2 test strips?

Have not had a diabetic in years but now need to test BG. I have an alpha trak 2 meter but apparently it has been replaced by alpha trak 3. What do I need to do? Are there some strips that fit AT2 or do I have to buy an AT3 meter? TIA
 
I can’t answer that question but it may be cheaper in the long run to buy a human meter as the test strips are much cheaper than the pat meters. If you live in the US you can buy a ReliOn meter at Walmart very cheaply.

Thanks. I have another meter, a human one, PrecisionXL, which I love because it also has ketone test strips. Those have saved me several panicked trips to the ER. It was the vet who wanted AlphaTrak. Since my new cat is not yet diagnosed--just monitoring--I'll use it for now.
