    Hi

    I'm areally Happy mom :joyful::cat::joyful:
    My boy has been :otj: for 8 days already...
    But his numbers are very low don't you think? Is this normal?
    The endocrinologist says that we only consider remission after 4 weeks and asked me to increase his food intake but he is already eating every 4 hours.

    I would like opinion from all of you ? Thank you :bighug:

    animated-wow-sign-image-0011.gif Look at Bobi go!

    I am thrilled to see those numbers. While some of those readings may seem low, they are absolutely normal. Some non-diabetic cats run in the 40s on a human meter and with meter variance that can translate to some readings in the 30s. As long as Bobi has not received any insulin shot, he is not in any danger because his body is regulating his BG all by itself and will control how much insulin is being sent out to keep his BG stabilized. He's not going to go hypo.

    We consider a cat in remission after 14 consecutive days but it never hurts to extend that period of daily checking out to a month.

    This is a great news to start to my day! You've done a marvelous job with Bobi. Thanks for letting us know and please do keep us posted! :D:joyful::D:joyful:
