Relion question

I purchased a relion classic meter. It says to check it with the control solution, but i can't find any. I checked thier website, and it says to call the company . How did anyone get a hold of this?
I use the ReliOn Prime but I have not used their control solution yet because I’ve been checking the numbers against the freestyle. I did have to call abott who makes the freestyle to get them to send me their control solution so it may just be the norm? Some meters do come with it but not those 2

If you call them they will mail it to you, but it does seem like that it should be in the box when you purchase a meter. I have bought several meters and there is never a control solution in the box.

I remember someone here saying theirs came with a packet enough for one test maybe. But I’m with you. I’ve never had it come with the meter. It should for sure!

Thanks, I'm nervous to base his insulin on the numbers if I'm not sure it's correct! I'm also only on week 2 of this, it's all so confusing.
Just remember there’s no “correct” number even at the vet with their meter. That’s why we work with ranges. If it’s between 150-200 do this, if it’s under 150 or over 200, etc. what insulin and protocol are you on? Btw, can you add your signature for us please? And did you start a spreadsheet?

if you’re following the SLGS protocol, under 90 you skip a shot and that gives you some room since under 50 is the real danger zone. Also when you’re thinking about decreasing let’s say under 90. You’ll still be testing and if needed you can go up again.
