Does anyone here use the ReliOn Confirm Meter?

How do you like it?
Is it accurate?
Are there any pros or cons about this meter and lancing device?

I use the Accu-check compact plus meter now.
The tests strips are in a drum and its very easy to use, but supplies are pretty expensive.
I am looking for a less expensive option.

I use the Confirm, I love it! It is quite accurate, the test strips are inexpensive. It uses a tiny blood sample (0.3) too. One of my favorite things about it is that you can put the strip in the meter, and then poke and even if it takes a minute to get the ear to bleed, it doesn't shut off. Very user friendly. I have nothing to compare the lancing device with, it works fine for me. It has a clear cap which is what I use...easier to see where you're poking.

I picked the confirm over the micro because I thought it looked easier to hold in your hand. The micro is so skinny, I thought it would be easy to drop if the cat gave me a hard time, etc. I don't know it that's true, the micro uses the same strips and many here use it so it is also a good option.

I have both the Micro and Confirm, both work great and I have so much less problem than I did with the Bayer meter we were using, I was wasting so many expensive strips.
The micro and confirm seem to read almost exactly the same as each other but I prefer the micro as its easier to hold for some reason for me than the bigger confirm but thats personal preference.
I would highly recommend either meter.

I have the Freestyle Freedom meter for myself and so used it for Powder too but bought a Confirm this past weekend. The confirm needs half the size of blood drop than the Micro. I thought that was weird due to the name and verified it with the pharmacist. I think it is a good option and certainly economical and convenient to get strips.

I use the micro and I LOVE it. No problems with it at all. I also like the fact that you can put the strip in before poking. I highly recommend it.

Hi .. I was using a VERY expensive AlohaTrak and it was way off readings found here as it is based on a high of 750.. gads! Anyway I had the ReliOn recommended to me so often that I took the long ride to Walmart and picked one up. I had purchased a different (chain store low end) meter which, when I returned it, I was given enough to cover both the new meter, strips and 25 cans of cat food! So .. yes it is economical :) Readings are in line now and I find the chance to take my time getting blood a refreshing change. Also I have gotten only 1 error message but my old ones seem to get errors at least once or twice a day. The strips are good and firm as they are made of plastic .. not paper! Easy insertion and as said before with less blood! I am very happy with it and did not see any others that were less expensive either. I do recommend it! It sound exactly like what I am looking for and works pretty much the same way, except with the
Accu-check compac plus I have, you do not insert the test strips at each reading.

You just insert a drum that holds 17 strips and they come out automatically -which I like, but its not a biggie.
It also is not coded, also takes very very little blood to get a reading, and it gives you a long time to get the blood.

Hi - I have been using the ReliOn Confirm since March 2010. Love it. Just change the battery today. I especially like the memory feature where you can recall date-time-reading of previous tests. I also have a ReliOn Micro as a back-up. Both use the same, affordable strips. The ReliOn lancets just came out in colors which add a little fun...

PS I called the referred to phone number in the instruction booklet to receive the calibration solution, no problems in doing so. I have tested a couple of time now with all tests passed.
