The vet thinks that Chester's limping may not just be arthritis. There may be some neuropathy at play as well. His blood sugar will not cooperate and he still runs high most of the time, so it's certainly a possibility.
My vet doesn't know of any treatment for it, but I know (and can search threads) that some people have had good luck treating neuropathy with Zobaline?

What exactly is that and where is a good, reliable, safe source from which to get it?

That said, there is arthritis that the Adequan is probably helping. He also has some calcifications in one if his achilles' tendons...

Hi Mary,

Zobaline is a methylcobalamin (methyl B12) supplement formulated for kitties. It also contains a little folic acid that works synergistically with the B12. Quite a few folks here, including me, have found that it improved our kitties' neuropathy.

I got mine directly from Lifelink here: http://www.ilifelink.com/zobaline-for_diabetic_cats-3_mg_x_60_tablets.html

It has very little taste and so can easily be added to the kitty's food. :)

Hoping Chester feels better soon.:bighug:
