Well it looks like we have finally done it. Cuddles appears to be regulated at around .75 units. I wish they had syringes that were more exact that that low of a dose but I do my best to make sure it is the same every time. He is doing a lot better and has been playing with one of his toys even on a couple of occasions. I am so happy to see his numbers no longer bouncing and staying around 100-200. His numbers are clearly higher during the day but that is because that is when he is fed. And at night I put out a can of wet food that I have added water to to make it into a kind of soup so that it lasts longer. We have both been getting better with the testing, I don't pierce his ear every time, now most of the time I get it in just enough to get the blood I need without going through the other side. And his ears have finally learned to bleed so most of the time I only have to poke him once or twice. He is so much more like my baby boy again and I am so happy.

Lots of nice blue numbers for Cuddles on this 0.75 unit dose. Way to go Cuddles!!!!

How are the 5 P's? purring, preening, playing, pooping and peeing? and his appetite?

He has started cuddling with me like he used to, just laying on me and purring away happily as he suckles on my comforter. His grooming has gotten better as well but could still use some work, still quite a bit of loose dander. He hasn't been playing as much as he did a year ago but he is certainly playing more than he was just a month ago. His poop is still a pale color but this started after the change to wet food. And he is peeing nowhere hear as much as he was before hand. I used to have to clean out the litter box completely every three days. Now it is over a week before I have to add more litter because I am not removing anywhere near as much when I scoop it out. He is also not anywhere near as ravenous as before. I could put down a whole can of food before and within minutes he would beg for more. Now though I have to give him half cans at a time so that there isn't so much left over for my moms kitten to eat.

Hi Fievel. It sounds like Cuddles is doing really well. :-D

Just observing that you could save yourself time, pricks, and expense when you do curves by testing only every 2 hours. I will see vets do in-office curves and only test three or four times.

Looking good.. Nice healing numbers!!

IF he stays between 50-130 for a week on this dose, or drops below 50 at any point, then immediately drop the dose by 0.25 again...
