? Reduce dose while out of town?

Going on vacation for 6 days. Pet sitter will shoot but not test. I'm thinking I should have her shoot .5u. Fearless has been on .75u for 7 cycles and just got back to green today. I hate to have him languish in the 300s for 6 days but don't want to take a chance on him dropping like a rock again as he did on 8/16. Is there a consensus out there that .5u is a safe dose while I'm out of town?

Yes I would certainly reduce to .50 starting tomorrow morning to start draining the depot. With no testing I'd be tempted to bring it down to .25 but that's hard dose to measure and we usually recommend a dose that is on the line for pet sitters. See what others have to say.

Yes, it's safer to drop the dose and let him run a little higher

There's also the possibility that he won't eat as well with a "stranger" in the house and his usual routine disrupted

I would go for the .50 because it's on the line. Hope you have a nice trip and will your sitter know how to contact the board if she has any questions or concerns?

No, but she emails or calls me if she has a question and I'll have access to the board.

He knows the sitter and eats just as well with her as with me. (She sends me pics of how much, if anything, he leaves in his dish!) It's his brothers who hide when she comes over. Fearless, after all, is fearless.
