Her body has to learn what to do with the insulin, so the numbers will move around for awhile. We went thru the same thing. They're going thru so many changes that it throws their whole system off. Goof's numbers started to decline and level off after about 6 weeks, just as our vet said they would. He told us right from the beginning that the first month to 6 weeks is a roller coaster that isn't any fun, but then it starts getting better.

I see Sony was diagnosed on 2/15 so you're at the one month mark, you'll probably start to see gradule decline in the numbers starting soon. Our vet also recommends that with ProZinc, that the dosage be adjusted by 1/2 units, whether you're going up or down with the dose and to wait at least a few days before adjusting it.

It says your spreadsheet is in the trash. You need to log in to Google Drive and either move it out of the trash, or if you have a new sheet, get the viewing link to the new one and put it in your signature.

Can we get you started using our grid to record your glucose tests? It will help us give you better feedback. Instructions are here. Or, modify your spreadsheet to parallel ours.

Understanding the spreadsheet/grid:

The colored headings at the top are the ranges of glucose values. They are color-coded to clue you in as to meaning.

Each day is 1 row. Each column stores different data for the day.

From left to right, you enter
the Date in the first column
the AMPS (morning pre-shot test) in the 2nd column
the Units given (turquoise column)

Then, there are 11 columns labeled +1 through +11
If you test at +5 (5 hours after the shot), you enter the test number in the +5 column
If you test at +7 (7 hours after the shot), you enter the test number in the +7 column
and so on.

Halfway across the page is the column for PMPS (evening pre-shot)
To the right is another turquoise column for Units given at the evening shot.

There is second set of columns labeled +1 through +11
If you snag a before bed test at +3, you enter the test number in the +3 column.

We separate day and night numbers like that because many cats go lower at night.

It is merely a grid for storing the info; no math required.
