hello!! ๐ŸŽƒ

very thankful to have had ReliOn as an option, because they are so affordable compared to others, but the quality control is off and
on terrible.... and at our small doses, these little defects matter, imo. just wondering about any other better brands..

for ex.
some have a ton of lubricant pooled at the top some time now.. that does not distribute when plunged.. maybe some will come down,
but this can affect the volume of medicine, right..
others are not put together properly, where the ring/needle part of the syringe is not correctly attached to the barrel, like there's space
in between.. that can affect dose too.. (not enough, or end up maybe puling too much? who knows..)
the lines on the barrels? HAHA. those vary widely.... we feel lucky it was in the beginning of the journey, while trying to find the dose.. and I think others should be cautioned on this! otherwise, could've been a world of hurt as have measured w calipers/conversions.. where markers are, and a lot of the time they are NOT what the units should be.. sometimes less.. most of the time more. a lot more.

the barrels have been a bit better recently, a lot actually, but the lubricant issue..... ruins the syringes!

anyway. just seeing on if anyone has some that they've maybe noticed to be pretty consistent in the way
they're made and measured. know the cost is bit more.. if anyone likes particular brands.. know in the past I've been suggested, im sorry.. it's buried
in my threads.. not sure where the answer is at this point. ๐Ÿซ

also, any lancing devices, if anyone uses one, that they like? the ReliOn one...... yeah.

any suggestions appreciated. x

Have you tried move the plunger up and down a few times before pushing it to the zero line and drawing up insulin? That helps distribute the lubricant.

There was a thread on the Relion syringes and using calipers and some of the issues with the syringes: ? - 4/15 - Xander | AMPS 241 - Question for anyone using calipers with ReliOn syringes

And buried in this thread is a related discussion: Where do people buy their Lantus from?

I use BD Ultrafine syringes. I don't have an issue with them. I've also used Monojects and UltiCare syringes.

I use the AccuChek SoftClick lancet device. It's easy to use. I had a MultiClick at one point but it was too fat for my small hands to comfortably hold.

yup.. it just stays near the top.. to irritate me. ๐Ÿ™ƒ๐Ÿ˜‚.. I saw people on FB too complaining about excess lubricant.. ugh.
