Hi everyone! Just a quick update for those who have followed the updates on our Cooper kitty. He is doing a lot better and we have been home testing his BG for over one week now and his numbers have been consistently normal enough that he has needed no insulin!!! He is also showing signs of improving a lot each day and is responding well to the medicine we have him on for his elevated biliruben count. He is starting to be more interested in food but I am still syringe feeding him the high protein, low carb fancy feast canned food to get him his needed protein each day. I have offered him EVERYTHING I can think of to whet his appetite and he still only will eat a little bit of dry food on his own. I remember seeing something on this site somewhere before regarding a dry food that is a bit better for cats who just refuse to eat the canned foods. I think this might be the case with Cooper since unfortunately all he ever knew prior to this was dry food. Any suggestions on a decent dry food would be so helpful! Thanks!
