Voluntary Recall of Specified Lots of Nova Max® Glucose Test Strips

Nova Diabetes Care today announced it is initiating a voluntary recall of 21 lots of the Nova Max Glucose Test Strips distributed both in the USA and outside the continental USA. Nova Max® Plus™ glucose meter kits that include test strips from the recalled lots are also included in this voluntary recall.

Well aint that a pip!! I just got their free glocose/ketone meter and the glucose strips they included are in that recalled lot :lol:

Lucky for me it was free, and I only got 10 strips that I haven't used. If it's too good to be true, it probably is :lol:

The recall was only issued today, so maybe if you go back to where you got the meter and strips, they will give you a replacement==either another model or strips not in the recalled lots.

Often meters and a small number of strips are free (or free with a rebate) because the way the glucose monitoring companies make their money is on the sale of test strips.

Good luck, and sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I just got this via email from the FDA alert mailing list and the alert is listed as being issued today.

Oh I got this from their website. I got the glucose/ketone meter, but the glucose strips they sent (only 10) are part of the recall. Its ok I'll just call the customer service number they provided. I only got it for the ketone testing really.
