Sam's having a really good day numbers-wise.

AMPS - 321
+3 - 180
+6 - 99
+9 - 153

Really happy with today. We haven't had such a nice curve in a long time. Maybe this is our dose. Looking forward to what his PMPS is and what tomorrow brings. Am really hoping to get him regulated soon as I have to travel and won't be available to watch him as closely. I've got to get my husband over the fear of giving that shot!

This looks great. You have really hung in there - fantastic job!

You can always teach Hubby how to use the site and we could help him if he needs help.

I don't think that would help him get past his fear that he's somehow going to hurt Sam by giving the injection wrong. He's seen me do it numerous times and Sam doesn't budge or flinch or anything, but DH is super soft-hearted when it comes to animals (he'd bring home a new cat daily if I let him). And testing bg? Oh mercy, that would be something. You know, Sam's kinda my cat, I don't know if he'd put up with anyone but his mother doing that anyway.

I have the vet tech/cat sitter as back up if DH can't get the hang of it in the next week or so. We shall see...

It is so much easier to learn when you have somebody to show you the tricks. I would encourage him as much as you can - it's a real worry relief to have someone trusted be able to do it in emergencies or tough situations. Maybe he could set aside his softie tendencies if he knew how much it would mean for you?

Even just to be able to have one rare night off here and there is a HUGE thing. Mom's sanity is important too.

Don't forget about the potential of dosing in ".05u" increments. At the ranges you are in it can make a difference and potentially smooth out seesawing between larger increments.

Is there a different syringe for .05 dosing? Because I'm already half-waying it for the .5. Not sure I could swing the .05. lol

Kristen,
They were just discussing micro-dosing on the Lev board and had some creative ideas and Sheila posted picture of how she measures micro doses on her syringes...granted this may not translate well for prozinc and the conversion...but it may give you some ideas.

If turning 40 didn't make my eyes bad, I guess Sam's diabetes will. LOL I really hope it doesn't get to microdosing. I'll never get my husband to do it then!
