75 is in the "normal BG" range, but interpreting what it means depends on the context.
Was this on a pet meter, or a meter made for humans?
Did you shoot insulin today? If so, what kind/dose, and how long ago was it?
Aha!
75 on a pet meter with no insulin? I'm glad you started testing before insulin! That's not just a "normal" number, it's low-normal. You definitely do not want to start shooting insulin if he's hanging out in numbers like that.
It sounds like there's a chance that your kitty is not actually diabetic or, if you have changed the diet, might be one of the lucky diet-controlled ones. How was he diagnosed?
No not an emergency, better high for a day than low for a minute.Im feeding him the nutro pate split packs. From what I read the salmon, turkey and chicken pate have low carbs.
I did leave him half cup of dry food (tiki cat born carnivore) i heard its low in carbs. Maybe I should take it away?
320 shocked me. Is that an emergency?
