We really need that spreadsheet to help you dosing. For now we can just say the current dose is too high. However with recent DKA we really have to be careful not to drop the dose very much. Are you home testing Simba for ketones? Whether or not ketones are present also factor into dosing.

Thanks for letting us know the 2 units was his initial dose.

Not home testing for ketones, he had 0 on the 26th which was the day before I picked him up and brought him home. And they weren't concerned with ketones at that point, as there were none in urine or blood. He responded really quickly and well to the emergency DKA treatment

The speadsheet is very difficult for me to do as I only have my phone... I don't have access to a tablet or computer and I'm trying to figure out how to fill it out on my phone but it's not working.

I’ll be happy to do the SS for you but please send me a PM as I’ll need to get info that we keep private. Once I do it for you, you’ll need to have google sheets on your phone. It’s not the best platform for entering BGs but many members do it and I’ve also used my phone to enter data.

It used to be one would but I’m not sure now. I always have google drive on my devices just in case there is a snafu with sheets.

Thanks again, Marje. I know that you need to be logged in to Drive on my Android tablet in order to edit a file in Sheets. At least now I know that a Google Drive app for smartphones definitely exists. It'll be something I can suggest members check in future if they get stuck when attempting to use a phone for data entry.

I use Google Sheets too, but don't have Google Drive on my phone.
