Battery EXPLODED on my computer last night. Just got a new one a few minutes ago. Promise I didn't disappear on purpose. What timing, CRAP!! :shock:

I'm rushing to go help a young woman with a lifeless kitten, extremely dehydrated. I have fluids, drip line, needle, high cal stuff, kitten milk..

Temps here still 103°F!!! Was nearly as hot yesterday, and will be for about 3 more days.. that contributed to the old battery failure. The glue melted and battery came apart at the seams!! @-)

Rocky is doing great! He had a long streak of green and blue today. Haven't had time to post because computer just moments ago up and running again. Must now go help kitten and check on ferals. There are lots of newborn kittens in my colonies and I am so worried about them in this heatwave.. it's just awful.

I'll be back around 10PM PST.. that's in about 3 hours. Can read through things then. Don't have time right now. BBS..

no worries, tina. some days are like that. i hope you can find some funding and support for your cat rescue.

Just got caught up on your last couple of condos and wanted to drive down there and give you a big hug! I feel your pain, fear and emotional conflict. I have gotten myself in over my head with the kitty rescues on several occasions over the years and in fact struggling even now. I don't have the numbers that you do, but with all I do have around here I shudder to think how you are managing.
I believe it was BJM who had some really great ideas about hitting up the schools and clubs. Hopefully something like that would help you out a bit. In fact I am going to try a couple of those methods for help with the feral colonies!
I know you're scared that Rocky may not have a great qol right now, and truly only you would know that. But please don't beat yourself up. It is so obvious that you love him and are giving him all you can. He knows it too.I pray for you that you are able to find him a wonderful foster or better yet, his furever home. Until then please do let us know how we can help in means of supplies, etc. I can't do much right now, but I can do something. Hopefully a lot of somethings come your way ;-)

I'm sorry that this information about Rocky's BG is so low in this condo.

It's 1am here and I'm just quieting down now.. still have to fill water bowls of every kitty in the house. Yah for AC!! But it's still pretty hot as we leave thermostat at 78°F. Please forgive me but I am so tired that I am going to need to read and answer everyone here tomorrow.

I still have to go back to take care of the dehydrated kitten tomorrow. It's not doing well and needs more fluids. I think it nearly died as at one point before I arrived it was shivering in this 103°F weather. I think it's body temp had dropped so low, had gone into shock. Young lady had it on a blanket with a heating pad and had been giving it just plain water orally for many hours. When I arrived kitten could still barely walk but we gave her a small amount of sub-qs ASAP. I had brought two jars of Turkey Baby Food and I finger fed the 7 week old nearly 1/2 a jar of it with a wee bit of the high calorie gel added to it. I tried at first to get her to drink the KMR but she wouldn't drink it. I asked the young lady to please remove the dry food in the bathroom where the kitten is for now and to leave her only wet, canned food with Pedialite added to it. I have to really stand my ground on this tomorrow or this kitten might not make it.

I still need to input Rocky's BG info for June 7 into his SS.
