I hope you got some rest yesterday and last night.....you deserve it.
I think you are out today, but when you have time...no hurry, we need to make Mikey's SS a little more clear for the numbers the other night.
Here's what I suggest:
--in the +3 column, use the small font you have and then put in "38; 87 @ 3.25; 120 @ 3.75" Be sure and put the spaces in as I've shown them. It should stack the numbers where you can see them.
--in the +4 column, put "140 @ 4.25"
--+5 and +6 are fine
--in the +7 column, I think it is good you showed that you retested but someone looking at your SS can't see the numbers. Perhaps it will fit in (small font like "8"), "307 rtst 254" Or you can always use the insert comment
function. That would allow you to put "307" in the block. Keep the cursor there, then go to "insert" right above the SS, click on "comment" and it will put a comment box next to the +7 box. Write in that you retested and
got a "254". You'll see when you are done that it puts a little orange triangle in the upper right hand corner of the box and if someone moves over it, they can read the comment

I actually stayed home today. My friend cancelled on me and just as well because I was so tired from the week and have to get up early tomorrow for the walk. I've been working and napping and I have read some stickies also. I read the one (i don't remember the name) about how to fill the syringe, etc. I had watched one before (not sure on what site, i think you tube) but the video here and information is a much more detailed.
I know the SS wasn't right but the other night I just couldn't figure it out. I'm going to go "fix" it now. thanks for looking out ;-) Although I work on a computer ALL day, I'm not very computer "literate" so I really do appreciate all the advice on the SS
Do you think Mikey will be low tomorrow? Marc will be with him in the morning. I should be home by noon. (that's a head's up to take care of Marc-anything prior to the afternoon will be done by him) Now I stepped away from typing this to test him and his BG is 127. I bought my binder (with kitties on it) and am going to spend the rest of the night organizing it and reading through all the stickies again.
on a side note, Mikey is becoming quite a character. I feed him in the bathroom so the other cats don't bother him. the second he is finished he either paws the door or starts "meowing". His meow is very peculiar. Almost human. It sounds like he's talking. When he wants to be fed he sits on top of the toilet bowl. Now when you pass from room to room you can't not notice him sitting there. So he figured out how to get our attention. When he is super hungry his lip curls, I told Jenn J it reminds me of how Elvis used to have that expression. So he is my "Elvis Cat"! He has attempted to venture out of the bathroom on his own but very cautiously and only a few steps. I tried to get him to sit by the window but he is terrified from the movement outside :sad: I really want him to feel the natural light and sunshine. Little by little. ok. going to to fix the SS now...

SS looks MUCH better....thank you. This is a totally personal thing but look at Gracie's SS and see how I put the green/blue numbers in white and bold them? It may be my eyes only but I have such a hard time reading black numbers
on blue/green. BUT.....it is totally up to whatever you prefer....you do have it correct now....super and thank you!!
Oh...I wish I had that crystal ball. No telling what Mikey will do tomorrow. You still have a long time to get through this cycle. He's really clearing his bounce nicely.

It looks to me like he is clearing a bounce so you should be prepared that his numbers might very well go below 100. He still has four hours in this cycle so anything can happen. Just be sure you get a +10 and if it's around 100, get a +11 and post and ask for help. I'll check back in at your +11, ok?

ahhhhh....I'm getting the hang of this. I have my own notebook that I write all his #"s down in (i like paper trails for when I accidentally delete something on the computer, lol. I already wrote the "future" times and +10 is next! About 10 minutes. I will post.

BG @ +10 125. I had given him a little food 1/8 can at 7pm figuring he's not eating "dinner" until 11pm. He seems better w/ eating 1/8 more often than 1/4 or 1/2 less often. When he gets to hungry you can tell, he's very agitated. His ears are really bothering him to be poked at. I have the neosporin ointment and the sock, giving treats or catnip after each test. It's the last 2 days that he's really not happy when getting tested. He starts batting his tail and all. Any other ideas on how to make the testing easier for him?

Hmmm...sounds like you have thought of everything on the pokes. I'm not much help past the sock, ointment, treats because I can poke Gracie in her sleep and she never blinks an eye.
Are you free handing or using a lancing device? I know I can't use a lancing device with Grace....she does NOT like the sound so we free hand. I suppose if you are doing one, you could
try the other way and see what he prefers?

I went to my walk and Mikey came with us. It was such a nice day out. A few months back I traded my BMW in for "cat mobile" aka ford explorer. It's great for the cats. I have the back set up with a tarp and blankets for accidents ;-) and they have plenty of room. (while driving he was in his carrier) Marc stayed with him in the car while I walked with my family. Mikey is such a great cat! He loves the car, which we already knew, so I wasn't afraid of taking him. That way if Marc has any questions I was right there and we didn't have to worry about Mikey's shot.
We are back home for a little while then going to dinner with my family. Will check in as needed.

AMPS was 439 +2.5 was 316 thats a drop of 123. Am I looking at him going really low? I think the other day Marje mentioned by the difference between the AMPS and first test after was so much it was a "red flag" that he may go lower?

Can you please start a new condo for today? You're still working off yesterday's condo. You can cut and paste your questions on the new condo.
I don't think you need to check him hourly. I'd probably check every couple hours.....he may decide to come down for tonight but he's not racing down right now.
