Happy sunday Morning Lantus Land!

I nailbite_smile shaved the dose for Attie last night. His constant flirting with 50 makes me a bit uncomfortable. While he continues to be nice and flat throughout his cycle, I'd still like him to be just a weee bit higher with some breathing room.

Lots of playing going on this morning. It is so funny to watch the big old long-haired orange guy bat around a purple play mouse. LOL... Well...it is not really a bat around, more like the mousey stomp! He gets it underneath himself and stomps around on top of it while turning in circles. Quite funny to watch. I think even MudCat watches him and laughs.

This morning isn't quite as cold as yesterday. We're at 13F instead of 1F. No pawprints in the fresh fallen snow from last night, which means no Gary? And no Rebel(neighborhood bully). Gary has appeared well fed this winter, so perhaps someone else has him housebound or garaged for the next few days. Tonight we're to get below zero.

Wow, Attie's numbers have been looking really wonderful. It definitely does look like he may be ready for a dose decrease if his numbers stay the way they are now. I hope you have a wonderful Sunday and I love picturing Attie with his toy. My Simon does something similar to his toys. Crazy cats!

there's the reduction. :mrgreen:

You might want to take a 0.25 decrease instead of a shave this time. It's like walking a tightrope and you never know what the "right" answer is, but sometimes when we just do shaves it allows their shed to get ahead of us. Taking a 0.25 reduction this time might bring the numbers up just a bit overall, but hopefully not too much. That can work better than having them earn a shave every day or two, when they are in the fast reduction phase.

Actually we're kind of fine ...Attie is in the hallway right now playing with the blue mouse!

Plus when Attie was on the Humilin N last summer and getting healthier by the day...he'd drop out on me every week. We went from 8u BID at the time down to 2.5u, before switching to Lantus in September. I learned hypo response steps very well last summer.

Stay warm too. Wow on the temps. It makes me appreciate our 35.

We did 3 FTs just to calm things down and hold steady. My carb line after the 40 this morning is the same as his AMps.

Oh dear... I-) I-) I-) that wasn't in my plans for this afternoon! That was supposed to be a 20 minute power catnap....not 3 hours!!!

Woke to Attie snuggles down beside me on the daybed covers. I should have had the TV or radio on...

Now I end up with a wasted day... :YMSIGH:

Attie seems to be holding steady... ;-)

Evening meals all round fed. We took the doscrease this evening...I'm not seeing a bounce to shoot through?

No Gary today at all. No pawprints in the snow? Tonight is to be below zero...so I am thinking somebody took him inside. Like I say he is not a skinny stray/feral looking cat, but he does have some spraying issues. Owner might have finally relented and provided a warm haven for the next few days.

I put hot socks and warmers in the lodge...but doubt it will be used. I haven't seen Gary at all today.... :?
 
Well this looks like a slow rise...right nearly same numbers.... ~O)

Got the living room cleaned, hall and kitchen mopped, the Guest Room is ready for tomorrows arrivals for the week. Hally, Lilly, and Mo....since they all live together already I suspect a day or two in the guest room and then they should be free range the rest of the week. I've been telling MudCat about them. Attie will be interesting and if he acts up too much...he will get to retire to the master suit.

Amazing what a 3 hour nap can do!.... :lol:

Oh.. and it is getting so cold the roof is popping and cracking with loud thumps.... even scared Muddie... we had extra insulation put in 2 years ago...and we still get pops and thumps in the dead cold of winter....

No Gary sighting at all...hoping that is a good thing with these temps.
