Hello everyone
So, I got my Tasin today and whipped up a batch of cat food. When I was done and cleaning up I noticed an awful lot of bone debris left in the tube of the grinder-stuck after the blade/before the plate. I'm using the 4mm hole plate. Is this normal? Do you grind 2X to make sure you get all of the bone or do you just expect the loss?
Also, I'm cooking slightly like Dr Lisa suggests and am wondering if you base weights of the meat/bones/skin/liver for the recipe before or after you cook them. It does seem to change the weights, especially with the liver.
Thanks
Jennifer
PS-the kittens are doing great! The absolutely adore Guinness (drooler), much to his dismay! For some reason they like to play with his tail at 3am. He will usually look at me with a face that says "who decided kittens were a good idea!"
