Raja is gone

I'm so sorry, Heather. I know it took a lot of strength to let her go.

I looked at videos and pictures too in the days following. It helps to remember the times when they were healthy & happy. It made me cry, but I realized I needed that reminder when the last weeks and days were so hard.

Oh, this is sad and despressing news. So, so sorry. We know in our minds that it is all for the best but our hearts never want to let go of our 'babies'. Just think of the many happy years you had together and the loving, caring home you gave her. She was so lucky to have you and you her.

Today is hard. I am a nanny and the older kid loved raja and she's upset about her. When she asks me about raja in heaven i start crying again. It's sweet that she cared for raja but it's too painful to try to explain to her

Heather, big loooong hug this morning. The hole their crossing leaves is so big for a while. She may just want assurance that Raja isn't 'gone', he's just waiting in Heaven.

I just don't know what to say to her, her mother told her last night and at 5 I know it's hard for her to understand and this is a time that I'm just at a loss for words. I want to try to explain to her but I can't without crying. I did promise her that if I eer decided to get another cat she could go with me but that may be a few years even I'm ever ready to bring another cat home.
 
no no no no no...... Another FDMB baby moves ahead to wait. My goodness, I wrote once, years ago... that each one of us cried when another gets the GA behind their name. I'm such a baby, it's well over two years for my Charlie, and I can't bring myself to to it... Let alone think of Spunky's passing.

Heather, the wonderful times, the laughter etc. will return, smiles will come again... I find that I'll think of something one of them always did.... and laugh.... and then... it hits... Please be sure to let yourself cry and mourn your Raja... our Raja... The one the only

My heart breaks with yours and I hug you tightly until you let go....

I am so so sorry for your loss. Sending many many cyber hugs. Both you and Raja put up a good fight.. she is flying free now, whole and healthy over the Rainbow Bridge. rb_icon

Dearest Heather, Kids are pretty resilient, they forgive easily and love easily. She just may be what you need to help you through some of this hurt and grief. Dont know if I am out of line saying this but just some of the things I've learned from the children I've known.

It is painful for us to let them go when it is their time, but they know when they are ready. You gave your Raja the best, most loving gift. Now, at the Bridge, she is not alone: all of our GAs are gathering around her in welcome. She will live in your heart until you meet again.
