Raja is gone

Heather and Raja (GA)

I took her today, she wasn't getting better and it was time.

I know it's what she wanted and what I needed to do for her but it doesn't make it any easier to say goodbye. I got raja as a kitten 17 years ago and she's been with me through everything. She was my first pet, and I will always cherish the time I had with her.

It's the hardest and most unselfish thing we ever have to do. It was her time - and thank you for loving her enough to know that, because it's never time for us. It does not matter how long we have with them, it's never long enough.

A Better Place

She’s in a better place right now

Aw Heather, so sad to read and know your precious Raja is gone. You have my deepest and most heartfelt sympathy. So many years, so many memories, so very painful and those "moments" will hit so let those tears fall. She was loved and she knew and felt that love......always remember that. Bless you for knowing it was time to help her leave.

Please put a candle up for her.

Heather - big looooong hug. I'm SO sorry Raja has gone ahead to wait. Raja knew SO much love, fly free sweet baby - have fun playing with all our GA's waiting there - Mama will pick you up on the way by when her jobs here on earth are done. Please send a rainbow to Mama so she'll know you're still in her heart.

So sorry for you Heather! I came really close to doing that with Midora, but she died in her sleep the night before, with me laying on the floor beside her.

You did the right thing at the right time, but I know that doesn't make it any better. You had many great years with her - remember that and not these last days.

Oh God Heather, this literally took my breath away...I'm so so sorry. But you know..you know when it's time. I know you are heart broken.

Raja is and will always be, a distinguished veteran of this board, of that you can be VERY proud. Her memory lives on every day and helps kitties all over the world.

My heart goes out to you dear friend.

I'm so sorry, Heather. I hoped you would have longer, but then I know it's never long enough. May you somehow find peace in the midst of your grief and sadness... I wish you didn't have to go through this.
