rabies vaccination effect on blood glucose?

Hi everyone,
Stu is going to the vet for his 3-year rabies booster shot this morning. I am wondering if the shot itself will cause a rise in his glucose level. (I know that the visit to the vet will cause a spike!). Any thoughts about this? Thanks!

I never noticed any effect when Angus had his. Angus had the 1 year PureVax. You might want to ask your vet about the PureVax because it has no adjuvants which are thought to contribute to VAS (vaccine related sarcoma).

please don't use any adjuvanted rabies vaccine. bg's should be the least of your worries re: vaccination. adjuvanted vaccines are suspected to be linked to cancer, do a search on vaccine-associated sarcomas.

ask your vet for the merial purevax; it's a one-year vax and is non-adjuvanted.

also, never, NEVER allow vaccinations in the scruff.
