sammy has been having good numbers the last week about 250 to 300 preshot and peak around 80 to 100 and this morning i got up and she was 187 so i thought that was a alright number to shot so gave her 4.5 of lantus. now at +4 she is 400? can someone tell me why? rebound?
 
I'm no expert, but when did your cat eat ? At shot time? so it's 4 hours since? Can you get a + 6? this might show the nadir some cats even get to nadir levels as far out as + 10. Maybe you need some more BG checks.
I'm sure someone with more experience will be along soon with more accurate advise
 
she ate at 9 am and shot at 9:30 am. ate a little more then this morning, she got 1/4 of tc feline raw beef.
 
i will check back later i have to go to work. my mom is going to stop by and check on her at +6 and get her bg reading. hope she comes down some.
 
I'd say it's a bounce - for some reason Mr. Liver felt threatened. KT's the KING of bounce....been a rubber ball for 1 3/4ths year now. confused_cat
