I have the Walmart Relion Micro meter. Was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. The last batch of test strips I bought had about 5 to 10 strips that didn't work. Just duds. It wasn't anything I had done, but when I touched it to the blood nothing happened. I just bought a new box and already I've come across one strip that has done the same thing - NOTHING. I've never had this problem before.

For as much as these cost finding that many that don't work irks the HECK out of me.

Was wondering if this is a fluke or something others have come across too.

I've been using the Relion for quite some time and have never had a problem with the strips. Maybe it was a bad batch and you just happened to buy two from the same batch? They will probably take care of it if you contact them.

Hi Tonya,
I've never had a problem with these strips not working, either. Call Walmart Diabetes support and say that you want to exchange them for a box with a different lot number. Did you know that the Arkray Glucocard 01 Sensor strips are the same as the Relion micro strips? You can buy them online at American Diabetes Wholesale (click the "Shop" link on FDMB, since ADW is one of the FDMB affiliates). They are less expensive. (The Relion micro strips are Walmart's brand name put on the Arkray strips.) Here's a link to ADW's best price, buy 4 get 1 free:

Good luck!

Call the 800 number on the strip container - they'll replace them. One of my boxes had 5 miscut strips (first problem out of hundreds and hundreds) that had sealed the 'sucker' closed. Not only did they replace them, they sent them overnight delivery. VERY sweet and helpful people that 'get it'...

HUGS
