Question on storing Lantus

I was able to purchase a lantus pen from another board member just in case I needed it in the near future.
Right now it looks like I don't need it but what is the best way to store it unopened for the longer time?
Should it be refrigerated or not?

Keep unopened Lantus in the fridge and store it so it won't get bumped or jostled around too much. Unopened Lantus is good until the expiration date printed on the label.
