Bart has been on zobaline for 3 weeks now one tablet a day have seen a little improvement but wonder if I should increase. Or give this more time. Another question on Friskies on Binkies list they have listed tender cuts but I can't find it in the stores. All I can find is meaty bites and tastey treasures. Are one of them the same as tender cuts? And they just changed the name? Havig computer issues so haven't been able to post Barts spread sheet will try and get it back going again soon. Right now he is on 400 units twice a day.

I think she means 4.00 units as his spreadsheet says he was on 3.50 units on February 13th.

I met 4 units sorry still wanting to find out about the doseage for zobaline. I'm only giving him one tablet a day and wonder if that is enough. Thanks

I gave my kitty one tablet with every meal. (I used the human Methyl B12. It never raised the BG numbers and Trouble never detected it in his food.) Once your kitty's bg numbers come more in the normal range the neuropathy will right itself. The Zobaline will certainly help.
Sorry my computer wont load the spreadsheets.

With Musette I gave her one tablet with her food and I feed 4 times a day, I also use the human form and she never even noticed the taste and didn't effect her BGs.

You can't overdose them on it since what they can't use they will just pee out.

I feed mine one tablet 5x day of zobaline. Still no improvement yet on neuro. But i was told that they wouldn't show improvement until they get regulated and then it takes several months once regulated for some improvement to show up. I give it anyway even though he is not regulated yet. It can't hurt, only help.

Good luck!

I have the human also but was concerned about giving it to him I read on here that some have xylitol in it which can be toxic to cats and dogs. It doesn't have it listed on the bottle so maybe it is safe to give and alot cheaper then the zobaline. I will start giving him more dosage a day. He is able to get up and down the stairs easier since he has been on it. Thank you for getting back to me. Happy Easter

I've seen xylitol listed as *highly* toxic to dogs, but I rarely see info on cats -- but that could be because omnivorous dogs are much more likely to try consuming / be given xylitol-sweetened foods than are carnivorous cats. If you have any doubts at all about the ingredients, you could try contacting the company and asking specifically about xylitol.

After reading of others' success with B12, I've placed an order for Zobaline. Boo isn't showing any definite symptoms of diabetic neuropathy -- though he has a long-standing facial twitch that occurs sometimes when purring -- but I figured a little boost would be worth trying anyway. (I've had amazing success with taking B12 shots and high-dose supplements myself, just for general energy and well-being.)

I just bought b complex liquid for my kitty because I couldn't find the right pills for the dose needed. The health store owner told me xyletol(sp?) is not toxic to cats but dogs it is. He said the small dosage has no effects on cats. He said the liquid form I bought has worked great for cats.

Possible Dangers
Methycobalamin can be found in most health food stores but is not usually available from your veterinarian. As such, the formulas are designed for human consumption and some contain an additive known as Xylitol which is toxic, even in small doses, to cats. Be sure to check the ingredients list before purchasing and administering any brand of Methyl B12 to your pet.

You can buy online ( free shipping in USA and 8$ for Canada):
vitacost.com/vitacost-vitamin-b-12-methylcobalamin-5000-mcg-60-capsules

These are 5000mcg capsules which means you have to split them in 2 for a daily dosage . You can also buy a 100 caps bottle it becomes pretty cheap, but you do have to wait for the (not so fast) shipping if you live outside the states

thank you I will check into vitacost and amazon. He has improved some what he isn't walking on his hocks as much and he can climb the stairs easier. But I would like to see him do better then that. Probably will be increasing his insulin again in a few days. He has a doctors appointment this week. Thanks again for your help.
