WCR: All is well with Blackie. I saw a bit of vomit before her test this morning. However, we had an interesting day yesterday, and we weren't the only ones. Congratulations to Linda for getting Scooter back after a long stretch there. She did an excellent job! WTG, Linda!!!!

Sending tons of healing vines, positive thoughts and vibes to anyone who needs them.

MY WISH: For God to help heal the broken hearts of those who lost a beloved pet and/or human... For God to help those ailing make a full and speedy recovery... For everyone to have great #s... For everyone to be OTJ.

+2.5 61

Thought she'd give me another # below 50, but that's ok. As long as she maintains the #s mostly below 120, I'll be trying the 7 day approach, and go from there.

Re: 02/20 Blackie AMPS 118 +1 73 +2 58 +2.5 61

It looks like another beautiful day is shaping up for Blackie! Good job! Hope you guys have a wonderful day!

I'll be giving her another test in a bit. Wish I could be awake a bit earlier to see what her PMPS #s are towards her next PS time.

Another nice, smooth surf for Blackie. Looks like your new game plan is working well.

Keep working that juice, Blackie, but stay safe, okay? There was more than enough excitement in LL yesterday - we need a quiet day today so the beans can rest up! ;-)

Rest? For us beans??? Surely, you jest!!! We'll see what she does tomorrow, and quite possibly tomorrow night I'll try a dose reduction as her #s have been mainly below 120 the majority of the time.

Didn't expect this #, but then, don't know what to expect from my little darling. :-D We'll see how the next couple of cycles go, and go from there. I'm hoping to do a reduction tomorrow night as it'll be 14 cycles, however, we'll see.

Ok Blackie, show your bean you're ready for a reducie, please! Turn that around and surf nice greens tonight :-D

I hope you get your wish, Angela, have a good night!

Re: 02/20 Blackie PMPS 85

That is a beautiful surf today, Blackie! Good luck with the reducie if you decide to give it a whirl. Have a great night, Angela!

I have been watching a lump on her back which is located about 1.5 - 2" from her tail. I have been keeping tabs on it to make sure that it didn't grow any bigger, or burst. At first, it started out as a mole (there were no puncture wounds anywhere), but then the mole was attached to a growing lump, which thankfully stopped growing. It looks like it's a bit sensitive, and I'm guessing that it bled a bit as there was a blood scab, which fell off. I treated it with Neosporin with Pain Relief to ward off any further issues, and hopefully stop any further potential bleeding. Due to the recent deaths in this family (especially the last one, Daisy, who passed on January 23rd), I'm extremely, extremely nervous about taking her in for fear of losing her, especially since she is diabetic, and is on insulin.

Questions: When I go to take her in for the exam itself, do I give her the insulin, and food? (probably a stupid question, but I'm extremely nervous... again)

When/if they need to remove it (which I'm sure they'll do), do I not give her insulin and food? How do they remove it? Will I be able to bring her back the same day?

Another thing I'm extremely worried about is that she's now showing some very lovely #s, and I know that her #s will rise a lot when I take her in. She doesn't like vets; can't say I blame her.

I've been awake since 1:30 this morning after going to bed at 10:00 p.m.

Re: Question (Last Post) 02/20 Blackie PMPS +1 80, +2 62, +9

Could it be an abscess, Angela?
I would think that the vet would examine the lump and maybe take some fluids to see what's inside, and then maybe have to send the fluids out for testing, so if the lump was to be removed it would be a different day. But, I don't know for sure.
Other cats have had lumps, so I'm sure you'll get responses from people who have had experience.

I'll repost the questions in this morning's condo when I go to take her AMPS test.

The scab that was a bit bloody came off, and there's just fresh skin underneath with no signs of bleeding. I'll wait for answers in this morning's post. Thank you, Dyana.

Re: Question (Last Post) 02/20 Blackie PMPS +2 62 +9 81 +11

My cats J.D. and Buddy used to be allowed to roam outdoors by themselves, until a feral or mean neighbor's cat kept attacking my cats. That's when they learned to go on leashes only, after three vet visits and each time the wound was around the base of the tail area. Hopefully, it's just an abscess.

Re: Question (Last Post) 02/20 Blackie PMPS +2 62 +9 81 +11

There is no puncture wound with this. Blackie's been an indoor cat for many years now. It started out like a mole, and then there's a bump underneath it. It's bit soft to the touch, not extremely hard. When I push down on it, it has a small amount of give to the flesh.
