Question About Using Miralax

Hannah's been a bit constipated for a while now, so today I'm picking up some Miralax in hopes that will help. I mentioned this at our last vet visit, but the vet in charge that day didn't seem too concerned. Last night she passed an extremely hard stool, so I'm thinking Miralax could help soften the stool and make it easier to pass. I know others here have used Miralax with good success. Will it be okay to start it with her evening meal? Is 1/8 tsp., twice a day the proper dose? I'm hoping it's tasteless so that I can mix it with her food and she won't notice.

Yes, 1/8 teaspoon two per day is a good starting dose. YH can increase the dose as necessary

@Blamethecats and Hannah it is tasteless, I used to give some to vegetable in her food and she never noticed.

@Vegetable (GA), that's what I was hoping for. If my little picky eater can taste it, she will avoid it.

I'ts tasteless but I still mix it in with Fritz food. Good idea to provide plenty of water. I mix extra water in the food.
