Question about U-40 syringes with 1/2 unit markings

Hello! I'm trying to help someone who uses Pro Zinc and is looking for U40 syringes with 1/2 unit markings. She'd like to get some from ADW, but isn't sure they have them. Since I use Lantus, I can't help her.

I suggested she try converting to U100 but she's not interested.

Does ADW have a syringe for U40 insulin with half unit markings?

I may be wrong but I think they're only available in whole unit increments. Couldn't tell from the ADW page, but I think the question comes up periodically, and that's what I seem to remember.
 
Thanks! That's what I saw too when I looked..at least none of them said they had half unit markings, where the U100 syringes do.

I'll try to explain to her that she'll need to use the conversion chart if she wants to be able to give 1/2 unit doses
 
I looked for awhile and never found u 40s with half unit markings. I used u 100s for at least a month...just printed the conversion chart and checked it each time.
 
Haven't seen any with half unit markings; its why I use U-100s. Each tick mark is 0.2 units. Unless one is giving a large dose, it is pretty easy to go 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0, etc.

She could make a reference gauge
or
line up a ruler with millimeter markings next to the syringe and adjust dose based on that.
