My cat Alfred is down in the .75 and .5U doses and I'm in search of U100 syringes with the half unit markings. Fred Meyer pharmacy doesn't have them. Anyone have another source for me to try? I'm in Anchorage, AK today but could order online if I have to. Thanks!!!

Use the ADW shopping link at the top of the page, they have several different brands but they one I like from there are the monoject 3/10cc, 31 gauge 5/16" (short needle). And if you use the link part of the sale goes to support this board, without costing you any extra. :-D The other cheap source is if you have a Walmart near you their Relion 3/10cc, 30 & 31 gauge short needles all have the 1/2 units marks but it seems none of the cashiers behind the counter know that. But if you don't confuse them them by asking for 1/2u marks they give you the right ones.. They will also sell you single packs of 10 for $2.00 so at least where I am they make a nice stop gap if you need more right now! Like if a new shipment is delayed because of weather, they're okay syringes but I just like the feel of the monoject better, they are a little higher in quality, and just slightly higher in price.

I started with monojects but switched to something that was more accurate.
Some of us use calipers to check the accuracy of the markings on the syringe.... many of them are cheaply produced and very inaccurate....which
can be really important for microdosing.....

these have a very nice quick action... and they don't have an unaccounted for space below the zero mark.
My monojects had the unaccounted space...
It's important to be aware when switching syringes to compare your old to your new....

the amount I was giving on my old syringes turned out to be almost 1/3 more insulin than my new syringes so I accidentally was giving
a reduction in dose .....
fortunately, it was an accidental decrease and not an accidental increase. nailbite_smile

feel free to pm me on how to compare your old syringe to your new ones whichever you pick.....

Thank you very much. I will PM you Rhiannon.
And apologies for asking a question that had already been asked (and answered so thoroughly) recently. I was on my phone in the middle of Fred Meyer's, so didn't search but rather just posted. Next time, I'll look a little harder. There is SO MUCH amazing information on this site, but it can be hard to find sometimes.
