Hello, can someone please explain why we are limited to SLGS if feeding a bit of dry food? We’re switching to Lantus this Friday. Thanks!

The other method used here, TR (tight regulation) requires a low carb wet food diet.

Ok. We feed fancy feast and a little Young Again kibble (both low carb) so I was confused. we’ll follow the SLGS then. Thank you!
TR is a research based dosing protocol. It is also very aggressive. So, one reason that you need to feed your cat an exclusively low carb canned food diet is that if you want to get the same results as were found in the research, you need to do exactly what was done in the research. Thus, no dry food.
One note, you can also do low carb raw food with TR.
