question about remission

Do I still need to be concerned about hypoglycemia if Marcus appears to be in remission ? If he tests low, should I still give him something to raise the blood sugar ? Can I consider him to be successfully in remission ?

Some cats naturally run on the low end-- no need to counteract with sugar if he hasn't had any "outside" insulin.

We consider a cat in remission when they can go two weeks in normal BG with no insulin. Looks like Marcus has done it-- congratulations!!!!!!

If you're not giving insulin, your kitty won't go into symptomatic hypoglycemia. He may be hungry, but he won't be symptomatic.
