The Lantus pen I just opened a few days ago, has a large bubble in it. Seems to me, it's vacuumed sealed, or words to that effect. I never shoot air into it.
Does that make it bad?
Should I move this question?
thanks

mine always had bubbles in them, barb...
never seemed to make a difference in the insulin...

HI!!, btw!!

I had one with a big bubble once, and it worked fine. I just tapped it so the bubble went to the other end. I think some people have been able to draw the air out with a syringe, so that might be worth a try too.

I've had bubbles in mine before, and it didn't affect the insulin. I just tip the pen so the rubber stopper is up, tap the bubble to the top and then draw out the air with a syringe. I find that it helps if you make sure each time you use it to turn the dial and push the button until you can't anymore.

Hope that helps!

That is its purpose. But it controls the little black plunger inside.. I find that if I keep it tight, it reduces the bubbles. Without a pen needle, turning the dial and pushing the button will not make anything come out of the pen.
