Question About Karo Syrup

Nothing's wrong, no emergency or anything, just asking because the one my mom picked up at the store says Dark Corn Syrup on the bottle and I was just wondering if that kind is okay to use? (Praying we never need to)

My vet told me any corn syrup or any maple syrup (not sugar free, had to contain sugar) is fine
