It seems that every time I increase Maddy's dose of insulin her numbers get worse. When she was at 0.25 units earlier this month she was spending most of her day in the blue. Now she's mostly in the pink zone and I'm concerned that she might be getting too much insulin. Any advice?

Other information: I've taken her back down to 0.75 this morning. She's acting normally and eating regularly. I'm trying to get in a few more mid-cycle tests over the next few days to get more information.

hi april
that happened to me too. i decreased his dose and i will keep him at this lower dose a little longer to give his body a chance to adjust and stop bouncing. the advice i was given was to hold this dose and if and when i do increase to do it in very small increments i hope it will help you too.
also in looking at your spreadsheet, maddy was doing great before the uti. uti's can raise blood glucose levels so if the uti is better maybe she does need less insulin or possibly not any as she was otj before the uti. someone more experienced can advise you better. good luck.

We call it New Dose Wonkiness. The numbers go weird for a couple of days when you increase sometimes.
