Yes that is always a good thing to try when you can monitor. That is how I found out that at least with Merlin, low carb seemed to have worked just fine. He was really sensitive to low, medium to high carb food. High carb food would just send him really high for the next pre-shot. So then I tried medium carb food and it still sent him to high but when I tested him with low carb food, it seemed to more or less flatten him out or increase just a bit. That way his next pre-shot test was not out of this world. It is just something you have to see what works with your own kitty.
