Good Morning LL! Happy Monday to everyone. Prayers and white light to all who need them.
I just realized my test strips have been expired for quite some time. With Muffin being OTJ, we only use 1 a month, so buying even the small 20 strip container seems such a waste since the bottle says only good for 6 months from opening the foil package. Are they automatically unreliable after that? Or is it ok as long as I'm getting normal numbers and nothing appears to be out of sorts with Muffin? If anything ever seems off with her, or any of the furbabies, no matter how insignificant it may seem, they are off to the vet. But it did occur to me that maybe the 97 I got last month was due to expired strips? Or could have been too close to eating, as it was only a +2, or it could have been stress from her new baby brothers. Either way, this month it was back to normal (77). Do I need to buy new ones every 6 months?
