Question about dose

I am wondering whether to increase to 2.25 units from tonight's dose or give the 2 unit dose a few more days. We have had some interruptions to doses this past week due to my surgery last week. Lucy has no symptoms of diabetes and seems happy and content except for wanting more food at times due to the fact that I am slightly reducing her food intake to try and lose some more weight. She has done well in losing one kilo but she needs to lose one more kilo the vet said. Best wishes to everyone and I hope all kitties and people are doing well and thank you for any replies to my question about increasing the insulin dose.

You've got 10 consecutive cycles at this dose and the lowest she's getting is 70-90's. I think you have room to increase her by 0.25u if you want lower nadirs, or want to lower the overall range.

Thank you Julie. I am feeling better but it is a slower recovery this time. Thankfully I don't have any commitments at the moment so I can rest this week.

Thank you Sienne. I am feeling better each day. My recovery seems to be slower this time but I have a lot of time to rest and recover and my Lucy is the best nurse and we are both enjoying sleeping in a lot this past week in between meals and insulin doses and glucose tests. :cat::)
 
I decided to fatten the 2 unit dose rather than increase to 2.25 units tonight due to my health issues and fatigue. According to the protocol we certainly have room to increase to 2.25 units but seeing that Lucy is feeling good and I need more sleep due to getting up several times last night I think a more conservative increase for tonight is wise.
