Question about Cali's Readings

Hi Everyone,

Had a curious question. When we first starting testing Cali--she appeared to be higher in the morning than at night. More recently, she appears to be the opposite--higher at night than the morning. We did switch to ProZinc and we've been on a slightly higher dose for not too long, so I'm not worried, just perhaps curious.

Any ideas or suggestions? You can see her spreadsheet in the signature, although the last two readings have yet to be entered. Sorry!

You have some mid cycle readings but they aren't paired with a preshot, so it is hard to see any patterns. We do have PZI kitties who are lower at one preshot than another. We have one kitty who gets shots at +14 and +10 because his pmps is always much lower than his amps.

I know it is hard but if you could get more readings, and a curve (tests every 2 hours during a cycle) soon, we would be able to help you figure this out.

Have you made changes to her feeding schedule between then and now? Sometimes BGs can be manipulated by when they eat, and how much, during the day.

Carl

Could be because you are shooting the same dose into different numbers
I see you shot 1 unit into a 300ish numbers then 1 unit into a 249
He nadir is probably going lower and different times and he might be bouncing a bit
from seeing the lower number

No changes to the feeding schedule.

I'm confused though. I was told on this board not to have different dosages at different points during the day. Meaning, don't do 1 unit in the morning and 1.5 at night. Is that not the case?

It is possible to dose proZinc that way. But as I said, you would need the data first to know what is really happening during the cycle. Once you have the numbers to do some predicting about what might help, you can do different kinds of dosing with it.

I am sorry I didnt mean you had to change up the dose
I just meant that maybe he is going lower with the lower preshots
If you can get a nadir on both the higher and lower preshots that will help determine dosing

What do you mean by "nadir" and "lower preshots"? Still not up on the lingo here...

She was higher again his morning than usual. We took another test +3 last night and going to try to get more over the weekend while we are home during the day.
