Question about budesonide

One of my civies was prescribed budesonide for IBD. I know that some steroids can trigger diabetes. Is this one of them?

Budesonide stays mainly in the GI system and thus should not trigger diabetes. I used it on my cici Spot with no problem.
I Also used it on my diabetic's Bailey and Mitten and it has very little effect on BG. I am also using it on my Lightning and I have had to increase his dose. However, his dose was going up before he started budesonide.

I can't say for the name there but in general on systemic I think it's more the dosage and period length given. I'd say it is more Individual. I haven't read any studies but given the amount of cats and more probably been given in periods cortison steriods and the larger percentage never have developed diabetes at all from it .... I've personally never hesitated to give it a shot in trying to heal them and save them and no diabetes have come out from it, actually.
You have to Reason with yourself and see if you can find some studies if you want to feel more sure about it.
