Sorry for the ick factor of this post. Be forewarned - it's about puke.

EQ doesn't vomit often. Last Saturday he vomited yellow bile about an hour before his normal feeding. The vet said this was not alarming, but to watch him if it happened again.

Well, it happened again today, exactly one week later. Right about 90 minutes before his normal feeding. There was less than last week, and it did have fur in it - so maybe he's feeling well enough to start grooming again (cross your fingers)? This did not stop him from eating dinner, and he's kept it down for the past 30 minutes, thank goodness.

Should I be concerned about two episodes in a week?

It sounds like he might be trying to bring up a hairball? Do you have some hairball stuff to use - or Vaseline.

Don't be sorry! We have all faced the same situation.

Thanks Sue. I have hairball stuff but I think it might be flavored with sugary stuff. Is plain Vaseline ok to give a diabetic cat?

Are you sure it's bile. Bile has a particularly pungent or acrid smell.

It may be that your cat is experiencing an acid tummy. Try giving a small amount of LC food at +9 and see if that helps.
