Howdy LL!

The Purr man came through the low numbers A-ok and was bouncing around on the bed this morning. I was *trying* to sleep since I was up all night with him and his low lows (48 and even with FF grilled he dropped to 38 eeek!)
No change in diet, I am sure it was the new dose of 4.5U taking effect. It usually takes him about 3-4 days after a new dose begins for changes to happen. He did get a dosecrease this AM of back to 4.25.

He finally had to climb up on my shoulder to pull the covers down so he could slip a paw in my ear, GGHHHAAAAAAAA!!!!! PURRRRRRRRRCCCCIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! He hired three of the civvies to come in for back up and pretty soon they were all jumping all over me and the bed, so no more zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz for this old bean, HAHAHA!

He's bounced up to 347 now but I expected him to be way higher this AM so I'm happy to see he didn't get too extreme.

And I was actually posting yesterday because I thought maybe my Lantus was kaput since he's now up to over 4U BID so I was wondering about the insulin not being any good. Well guess I know now! 4U seems like an awful lot for a 10 lb kitty but I guess ECID.

He had his bloodwork done in September and all came back looking very good.

How do I post his lab results here?

He has kidney issues but the vet was really pleased with his numbers and he's actually gained back a pound and a half. He got really thin earlier this year and was down to 9 lbs, way too thin for such a big bodied kitty.

The dust has settled some after the parents moved in with me earlier this year, but WOW they take up ALOT of my time and I'm scrambling trying to make a living too. I'm an artist for a living, used to having many long leisurely hours of painting time surrounded by my kitties, and then the parents arrived and turned my house completely upside down. It was really hard on all of us but the dust is settling some and I'm hoping for some small semblance of order soon. I used to spend about 6 - 10 hours a day in my studio and now I'm lucky if I get that many in an entire week!

My parents love my kitties though and Purrcie really has a special place in my Dad's heart. Purr just adores him and they are great friends. Animals are a really good thing for the elderly, I know they are used as therapy so I like to think my kitties are helping too. I haven't seen my mom laugh so much in years as she watches the goofy kitties run and play and chase each other. She went from being offended by Blossom who wanted to visit with her in the kitchen one day to now FEEDING her under the table little scraps which is a big no no! HAHA!

OK I've rambled enough but I've so missed everyone and so many of you have been such a blessing to us I felt I owed explanations as to my sudden disappearance last fall and have felt really guilty about not making the time to pop in.

Mom doesn't let me use the computer on my own since she caught me selling her stuff off on ebay. I'd been planning on funding a trip to visit all my new kittie pals I've wanted to meet on here but I've been grounded offline. She even took the keys to my Catillac! ~Purrcie~

Nice to hear from you Myla. I didn't know your parents moved in! That must have been quite a change for you , but I'm glad you and the kitties are adjusting. If you have Purrcie's blood results electronically, you can upload them to Google and then post the link or put it in your signature. I made a Googld spreadsheet with all of Blackie's blood results so I could compare them. I can't speak to Purrcie's dose - Blackie is usually around 4 units too, but he does have CRF and other issues.

I hope your life will get less hectic and give you more time in your studio and here on LL. I hope you had wonderful holidays.

I just have a hard copy of Purrcie's bloodwork. Maybe I could scan it? I'm not sure what format to use though.

Ele I posted on your condo about Squids and Pepcid for Blackie. Purr is CRF too and has alot of other issues including a heart murmur, a tumor in his chest, asthma and he went blind in July. We manage but wow it's alot of juggling, medicating, and lots of love as you know.

I'm pretty sure you can upload a pdf file to Google. So if you can scan it as a pdf, I think that would work. I hope Purrcie comes down from that bounce soon.
