I just recently (within the past month) started feeding freeze dried chicken treats to both my cats and dog. Lately, I've been thinking a lot about them causing dehydration. I've read that they might because they rehydrate once the animals eat them. So I'm just wondering, does anyone rehydrate the treats before giving to their animals? Which leads to my next question...are these raw meat and would I need to worry about contamination?

I believe they are raw meat. Go to chewy's site. I think they say it either in the video or the description.

I wonder about that dehydration theory. Do you really think it could absorb THAT much inside them?

My initial thought was that is was very unlikely, but then I just kept thinking about it and figured I would throw the question out there. I wasn't sure if other people rehydrate them. I tend to overthink things. ;)

Guess a good experiment would be to rehydrate them. Say they did absorb fluid inside our furry friends, it would not be like they would be losing the moisture...it would still be in them technically. Just a thought.
