can diabetic cats have pure can pumpkin ? One Skittles anal gland is swollen and the vet can’t express it.
He had another FLUTD flare up and has something going on with or around one anal gland.
Just don’t know if pumpkin is safe for him ( right now it’s needed to add more fiber to diet )

Bama was getting about a teaspoon of pure canned pumpkin twice per day for a while to address his constipation. It helped and now he no longer needs it. He liked it so I never had to disguise it like some kitty moms do. I did mix in a little warm water with it when it had been refrigerated and because extra water is always good for the sugar babies. You can freeze it in ice cube trays and once frozen, pop into a zip lock bag to keep in the freezer, taking out a cube at a time as you need it. It might freeze better if you premix the water with it, I don't know. I froze mine in those small disposable condiment containers you get from food take-out places.

I never had any issues with giving pumpkin to any of my cats. Make sure it is canned pumpkin and not pumpkin pie filling. I usually freeze the pumpkin in ice cube trays and store it in freezer bags so I have it on hand. You can also add Miralax to the food to help relieve the constipation.

A big big hug to all 3 of you for letting me know it’s okay to give pumpkin to my sugar baby!!!

I love all the support we all give each other here!!!

Thank y’all so much ! :bighug:
