Well, you're doing great.
I don't know anything about Lantus, other than it's different from PZI :lol: ,
but important for all insulins types is BG checks. Try your best to get a reading before any shot, and if Punkin will allow it, try to get a check at +6 (6 hours past injection) to see where she's at at nadir (lowest point before going back up).
If you can get a few other checks in here or there, that would be great information to have also. See how Punkin handles the insulin, how low she goes, things of that nature.
No pressure, we're just fascinated by numbers...and it helps determine the best course of treatment. Someone may have already mentioned it, but you may want to pick up some ketodiastix so you can check Punkin for ketones. That's a road you don't want to travel. Or so I'm told. Ketones can lead to DKA. I have no personal experience with it, but many here have, and it's not fun.
