[Jacques and Pumpkin]

We said goodbye to Pumpkin yesterday morning. She’d been slowing down more and more over the past couple of months, and her GI issues started flaring up more often. I’ve been posting less as it was becoming clearer where things were heading. With how hard everything was getting for her, I didn’t feel right putting her through another round of hospitalization, which was what we were going to need to pull through her most recent episode.

Thank you to everyone on the forum who’s helped us out. We didn’t get very much time with her after her diagnosis, but with the help we got here we were able to make that time as comfortable as possible for her.

(((Jacques))) I am so sorry it was Pumpkin's time to earn her wings. Acromegaly can be such a hard disease on them. It is such a hard decision on us, evaluating what her quality of life is. You did the right thing, as hard as it is.

Take care of yourself - caring for a complicated kitty can be very tough on you too.
