First I am sorry I didn't post his numbers from yesterday sooner. Time got away from me yesterday. And by the time I remembered I was half asleep. He had a good day yesterday. Seems a little sleepy today. He seems to be adjusting well though. I do have a question. I am going to be at a hockey game Sunday. My mom is the only other one that feels comfortable testing him and she is going to be with me. I was going to test him before I leave about 530-6. I won't be back home to 10-10:30. Is he going to be ok to I get back?

Here are his yesterday numbers. + 11.5 91. +6 81. +14 106.

At this rate, with Pudders not needing any insulin, you may not have to worry about Sunday :-D
You'll know more before then.

Who are you going to see play?

They are playing Edmenton. I am so excited to go.

I am using 28 gauge lantces to test him. Could that be why I have to poke him so much? I just feel aweful everytime I test him.

28 gauge should work good. It's important that his ear be warm for testing. Have you tried placing a flashlight beneath his ear so you can see where to poke? The top third of the outer ear is where I test PF, making sure I don't poke the same place twice in a row. If his ear is warm, you're poking in the sweet spot near the edge of the ear and using a 28 gauge lancet you should get blood. If you're using the lancet device make sure you have the depth gauge set properly. Maybe the lancet isn't breaking the skin.

Have you checked the member list to see if someone is close to you? If there is someone maybe they can come over and show you how to test. Have a good night and hopefully someone else can give you some more input on testing.
